It's a beautiful sunny day here in the mountains. Unfortunately for a lot of people awaiting Irma, today isn't so beautiful. But, like I've said before, the sun will come back and there will be support.
We eat eggs every day of the work week so it only makes sense I talk about eggs. Yeah, I get it, it's Saturday and not a work day. With the sun out though, it reminded me of eggs, the sunny side up kind. It's funny how food reminds you of certain people in your life. Just like bacon reminded me of my grandmother so do eggs. She would always make the best sunny side up eggs for me. I remember how she would always fret when one would break too. I never minded though, they were great either way. Plus, it's hard to be mad at someone who makes you food – Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Also, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Eggs have become a big staple in our diet. Like I said, we eat them every day of the work week. Every morning I scramble them up and they are definitely one of the best breakfast foods. According to lifehack.org, the average American eats 250 eggs per year. Which means, between my wife and I, we eat roughly 1,170 eggs per year. How crazy is that!? We might need to invest in some chickens. But hey, they are good for you after all. They're full of protein and amino acids and really just a great way to start the day. They're cheap for what they offer too. They give us the energy to get the day going. Come to think of it, it would be really weird now to not have eggs in the morning. I don't have any cons to eggs other than they get a little boring after a while, but that's why we have cheese. Alright, I think I've talked enough about eggs. I hope you find yourself having a sunny side up kind of day.
P.S. If you read the lifehack.org post they say eggs are gluten free. Yeah, that's a no-brainer. I can't believe we are still having to say "gluten free".
